Frontend Engineer

You will be responsible for overseeing and expanding the implementation team for successful delivery of highly-scalable customer projects using the in-house infrastructure platform called Based. This role requires an effective leader who can bring structure, professionalism, and leadership to the technology team, ensuring seamless operations and sustainable growth.

We are seeking an exceptional Frontend Engineer to join our team. This is not your average frontend role. We are looking for someone who has been through the trenches, seen how frontend can go wrong, and knows how to do it right. You have frontend trauma, and that makes you better. You understand the nuances of building robust, scalable, and maintainable systems that don’t just work—but thrive under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, develop, and optimize high-performance frontend applications using React and the latest web technologies.
• Push the boundaries of frontend development, ensuring our applications are fast, scalable, and maintainable.
• Identify pitfalls and prevent common frontend failures before they happen—because you’ve seen it all before.
• Work alongside highly intelligent engineers who challenge conventional thinking.
• Stay ahead of the industry, exploring emerging technologies and methodologies that keep us leading the pack.

• You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent).
• You have extensive experience in frontend development, particularly with React.
• You’ve encountered—and overcome—enough frontend challenges to have strong opinions on what works and what doesn’t.
• You don’t need hand-holding; you take ownership and deliver high-quality solutions without compromise.
• You live and breathe performance, scalability, and maintainability.

• You are based in the Netherlands.
